| Craig
Marshall
Craig Marshall, tenor, is leader and principal arranger
of The Living Christmas Card and has written arrangements for jazz ensembles,
big bands and concert bands. His recording credits include six CDs as
a trombonist with the Grammy Award-nominated University of North Texas
One O'Clock Lab Band and two with the UNT Jazz Singers. A versatile musician,
he has performed professionally on a wide variety of instruments. Mr. Marshall has taught jazz improvisation, music business courses, and directed jazz ensembles including guest conductor of the One O'Clock Lab Band. Born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, Marshall is co-founder with his wife, Sheri, of The Living Christmas Card Inc. Marshall received his bachelor and master of music degrees in jazz studies from the University of North Texas, where he is currently manager of the lab bands and associate producer for the North Texas Jazz record label. |
Sheri Marshall
Sheri Marshall, soprano, originally from Sturgis, Michigan,
has a background in musical theatre, with leading roles including Eliza
Doolittle in "My Fair Lady," Nanette in "No, No, Nanette" and Jeannie
in "Brigadoon." Co-founder of The Living Christmas Card Inc., she has
recorded as a studio vocalist for national music publishing houses Hal
Leonard, Columbia Music, Shawnee Press, Western Michigan University's
Gold Company and with the UNT Jazz Singers. A former music teacher in
Texas public schools, she received a bachelor of music education degree
from Western Michigan University and a master of music education degree
from the University of North Texas. In addition to her involvement with
LCC, she is manager of Marshall Music Productions Inc. a corporation whose
divisions include recording, publishing, booking, contracting of musicians
and all LCC operations. | |
Rosana Eckert
Rosana Eckert, alto, is an accomplished vocalist, French hornist and
dancer who first enchanted audiences at age two. She has performed on
stages throughout the U.S., including Carnegie Hall, Disneyland and the
Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas. Rosana was a member of the 1999 "Sisters in Jazz" Collegiate Sextet which performed at major jazz festivals across the US. Originally from El Paso,
Texas, she works as a studio singer in the Dallas area, recording commercials, jingles and album work for several production companies. Rosana may be heard on UNT Jazz
Singers recordings and on the newly released recording of Dallas singer/songwriter
Gary Eckert entitled Up All Night. Ms Calderon earned a bachelor of music theory
degree and a master of music in vocal jazz from the University of North Texas, where she is currently adjunct professor of vocal jazz and vocal jazz workshop faculty member. | |
Gary Eckert Gary Eckert, bass, originally from Kent, Ohio, is a highly innovative
vocalist, percussionist, keyboardist, writer, arranger, and producer who
has performed in Venice, Italy; Athens, Greece; Egypt, Israel, New York,
Los Angeles and San Francisco. He holds degrees in both music and philosophy
from the University of North Texas. Eckert is owner of GEM Productions,
Publishing, & Records (Gary Eckert Music/ASCAP) and recently released
his first solo CD, Up All Night. Eckert, a jingle writer/performer in
the Dallas area, also taught commercial voice and philosophy at Cedar
Valley Community College in Lancaster, Texas, and is currently director of music
at First Christian Church in Gainesville, Texas.
